In the work were comprehensively studied the theoretical and practical aspects of normative regulation of the Institute of jurisdiction in criminal proceedings; improved doctrinal definition of the jurisdiction as a set of rules adhering to which allows to establish the authority, which has to carry out the pre-trial investigation of criminal offenses; disclosed genesis of theoretical and legal framework of the Institute of jurisdiction in criminal proceedings. Were characterized theoretical approaches to determining the types of jurisdiction and their doctrinal correction made in the light of legislative innovations and law enforcement. Was studied the specific character of the implementation of the institute of jurisdiction during the international cooperation in the field of criminal justice. Based on the conducted research and generalization of enforcement practices were found deficiencies of legal regulation of the institute of jurisdiction in criminal proceedings and formulated scientifically based proposals aimed at improving the current criminal procedural legislation.
