Essay

The paper focuses on the pragmasemantic aspects of implementing the strategy of offense in German dialogical Internet-based discourse. The research deploys a complex methodology developed with a view to establishing pragmatic features of the offense strategy implemented in German dialogical Internet-based discourse. The major scientific methods are the discursive-contextual, structural-semantic, and logical-semantic methods, as well as quantitative analysis. The scientific novelty of the research is determined by the systemic analysis and description of the pragmasemantic aspects of implementing the strategy of offense in German dialogical Internet-based discourse. The paper offers a classification of indicators of the strategy of offense, as well as a classification of tactics of offense and considers specific aspects of using separate tactics and their combinations (arrangements). The paper explores the influence of specific properties of Internet-based communication on the implementation of the strategy of offense in German dialogical Internet-based discourse. The theoretical significance of the paper is determined by its contribution to the linguistic pragmatics, theoretical grammar and lexicology of the German language, and theory of non-verbal communication. The practical value of the obtained results lies in the possibility of applying them in teaching theoretical grammar of the German language (themes "Sentence pragmatics", "Pronoun" "Verb", "Adjective"), lexicology of the German language (themes "Phraseology", "Word meaning formation"), stylistics of the German language (theme "Stylistic semasiology"), Rhetoric (theme "Fundamentals of the verbal influence"), linguocultural studies of Germany, computer-facilitated communication as well as in research papers for different degrees.
