Essay

The thesis is a complex research of theoretical and practical issues related to the legal regulation of working hours in the new conditions of European integration of Ukraine. The paper defines the concept and features of working hours, generally the specific standards of working time in the European Union have been generalized, the genesis of working hours in Ukraine has been described and its periodization has been conducted in this dissertation. The concepts of "working hours mode" and "implementation of European legislation on working hours to the labor legislation of Ukraine" have been defined. The paper studies the sources of European Union legislation on working hours and determined its classification and analyzed the positive experience of some European Union countries on working hours duration. The special attention has been given to the advancing of efficiency of working hours standards as a prospective direction of improvement of legal regulation of working hours in Ukraine and prospects of expanding of using of standard and non-standard forms of working hours in Ukraine and Europe.
