Essay

The dissertation is the first comprehensive study of representation of Roman law ideas in the national philosophical and legal thought. The conclusion has been made about the absence of philosophical and legal study of the impact and reception of Roman law ideas in theoretical terms in the national context. The perspective of this scientific field in historical, philosophical and legal studies has been explained. It was proved that since the nineteenth century till present the Roman law ideas were the subject of scientific interest of domestic law philosophers, but only superficial considering the main scientific orientations. It was also suggested that Roman law as a cultural phenomenon and Roman law ideas require a proper philosophical reflection.
