Kholodylo P. Criminal proceedings based on a guilty plea agreement

This PhD thesis offers a comprehensive study of legal, theoretical, organizational and tactical principles of criminal proceedings based on guilty plea agreements in accordance with regulatory provisions of the Ukrainian legislation on criminal procedure and the theory of the criminal procedural law of Ukraine. The state of scientific research of the problems of criminal proceedings based on a guilty plea agreement, containing a subsidiary obligation to cooperate in investigation of a criminal offense committed by another person, has been described. The type and scope of information required from a person entering into a guilty plea agreement, depending on that person's legal status and the phase at which the agreement was made, have been described in detail. Circumstances which the court must ascertain when approving a guilty plea agreement and their correlation with circumstances taken into account by a prosecutor when making this agreement have been determined.
