The thesis deals with the efficiency of the idea of regionalism as a cultural quality in the art of China regarding the musical and artistic life of Taiwan, is understood in its historical precedence, which is represented by the creative history of China as well as Europe. "Provincialism" as an actual style quality is represented as a proto-reality of what in the 20th century is defined by the term regionalism, a special kind of political manifestation of a nation-ethnos that is autonomized culturally and creatively, but does not pretend to state-political resistance to the basic governmental structure. The regionalism of Taiwan's artistic life in the middle of the twentieth century was determined by the historic-political scenario in China, - and it was revealed in the genre absolutization of the song and piano creativity that constitutes opposition to mainland China, in which the theater system directs the main tendencies of artistic gravitation.
