Essay

The work deals with a range of design measures related to reduction of a level of possible progressive destruction in columns of multi-floored reinforced concrete buildings appearance risk. General ways to design multi-floored framed buildings with regard to progressing destruction taking into account actual dynamic rate were formulated. Limit use rate was assessed. Load redistribution consistent behavior in columns of multi-floored buildings in case of progressing destruction was detected. Based on a number of quantitative theoretical data an experimental study was carried out for ground floor columns stress-strain behavior using a model of seven-floored beamless framed building. Concept validity of the studied issues was confirmed by the received experimental data. A range of design solutions with regard to decrease of risk level in case of progressing destruction was elaborated, i.e. reasonable layout of stiffening diaphragms, increase of reinforcing degree, improvement of concrete grade. The study results implementation was carried out at designing and construction of multi-floored residential buildings in Kharkiv city, 258 Klochkovska str. and 23, Korolenko str.
