This thesisis is devoted to the actual problem of development of new generation of wound coatings, the distinguishing feature of which is their multifunctionality - provision of protective, sorption and antimicrobial properties, purposeful transport of medical substances into the hearth of the defeat and their prolonged release in the necessary concentration into the wounded medium. An analysis of the current state of development of wound coatings in the world and in Ukraine has been carried out. Information about peculiarities of requirements for their properties when using them at different stages of the wound process was systematized. The concept of creation was proposed; a number of composite wound coatings on nonwovens bases on natural fibers were received. A series of experimental samples of antimicrobial and therapeutic textile fabrics were obtained; their experimental exploitation was carried out and a positive response was received.
