Lada O. Scientific societies of Ukraine in the conditions of social and political transformations in the second half of XIX - 20-30 years of XX century in historiographic reflection

This thesis is revealed the activities of the scientific societies in Ukraine in the conditions of social and political transformations in the II half of XIX - 20-30 years of XX century on the basis of historiographical sources. The author has proposed and theoretically substantiated the historiographical periodization, which is divided into three main periods of the problem's development: imperial (second half of XIX - beginning of XX century), soviet (1920-1990) and modern (since 1991). Such division into periods is primarily due to socio-political transformations, as well as changes in the methodological foundations of scientific research, the sizes of accumulated material, the saturation of its facts, the possibilities of using the source base and the depth of various aspects of the problem's development. The author primarily examines the political and economic influence on the activities of the scientific societies in Ukraine during second half of XIX - 20-30 years of XX century. There was made the classification of sources by default-species criterion which is divided into few groups: an archival documents; periodicals (newspapers, magazines, leaflets etc.); books, monographs, textbooks; dissertations; collections of scientific articles and materials of scientific conferences, symposia and readings; electronic information resources. It is noted that the dissertation has an interdisciplinary character: it is on the verge of history of science and technology, history of economic thought, history and historiography of Ukraine, which determines the specificity of its source base. There was analyzed the contribution of native researchers to the study of history and activities of scientific associations of scientists at different stages of socio-economic development. There were allocated insufficiently developed aspects of the topic and range of issues that need to enhanced research practices. In particular, in modern historiographic area is almost tracked organizational framework of scientific communities' activities, the inner form of the researchers' reflection in the formation of their cognitive tasks. Individual of scientific research deserves the establishment of continuity and discontinuity of scientific knowledge in the context of the imperial and soviet periods. Remain inexhaustible personalized measuring of the activities of scientific societies, the role of scientists in development of native science in the period of Ukrainian statelessness. There was noted on the present stage of historical science development there is a need for a historiographical analysis of important and actual issues, which are still not widely appreciated in academic discourse.
