Essay

The thesis deals with the study of extended techniques of trumpet performance and their development in the history of the wind instrument playing. Modern arsenal of unconventional approaches to trumpet performance includes various types of them, which differ by expressive and technological features of performance. The general principles of the typological classification of extended performing techniques existing in trumpet playing devices that have received the greatest application in contemporary performing and composing practice are examined and analyzed in this scientific research work. The whole arsenal of extended performing techniques on the trumpet is divided into two main types: musical and non-musical origins.
