Essay

The influence of phytochromes activation by red (R, 660 nm), far red (FR, 730 nm) and R+FR in seedlings on growth, development, productivity and carbohydrate metabolism of tomatoes varieties with different ripening terms in open ground was studied. It was found that in early ripening variety Kremenchutskiy the growth rate in height, the amount and area of leaves formation and growth rates had changed just slightly, but in the late ripening variety Ace 55 vf these processes are significantly accelerated.
