Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the study of the influence of a 13-year impact of the various systems of basic soil cultivation within the 10 field grain-tilled crop rotation, and the 10-year impact of the zero and moldboard (traditional) tillage in short rotational crop rotation on the main indicators of soil fertility of typical low-humus black soil and spring barley yield in the Right Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Economically justified the efficiency of different systems and ways of the basic soil cultivation within the 10-field and short rotational crop rotation in growing spring barley. It was found that the use of moldboard-subsurface tillage contributes to the accumulation of humus, improves its physical and chemical properties and allows getting a harvest of spring barley at the level of control with lower energy costs for its holding. The use of zero tillage in short rotational crop rotation maintains the humus content and reserves of available moisture for the culture during of growing season, improving structural-aggregate composition and contributes to the development of the population of earthworms, which in combination provides a high yield of spring barley at lower material and energy costs compared with the control.
