Koval M. The method of investigation of torture committed by National Police officers

The dissertation explores the problems of investigation of torture committed by National Police staff and formulates a number of provisions, conclusions and recommendations that are characterized by scientific novelty. Categories of people who most often become the victims of police torture are classified. During the investigation criminal cases that opened criminal proceedings were detected. Tactical tasks have been defined and outlined depending on the existing investigative situation. Therefore, a general algorithm for the effective initial stage of the investigation of torture committed by law-enforcers is given. Conclusions and proposals set forth in the work provide the basis for further development of the forensic methodology for investigating torture committed by National Police staff, improving its provisions, as well as the implementation of the formulated recommendations in the practice of the investigating authorities of the prosecutor's office, the SSU.
