The dissertation is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodological foundations for the formation and development of institutions of the insurance market of Ukraine and their functional mechanisms in the context of the economic development strategy of Ukraine. Theoretical substantiation of the basic concepts of institutionalism in the context of the evolution of economic theory is carried out. The theoretical and methodical apparatus of the institutional theory in the study of the insurance market is generalized. The theoretical generalization of the components of the institutional structure of the insurance market of Ukraine is carried out. The regularity of dynamics of development of the insurance market of Ukraine and the efficiency of functioning of its institutional basis is investigated.
