Essay

The object of the research is the process of organizing of railcar flows. The research was carried out using methods of mathematical statistics, correlation analysis, RS-analysis, methods of set theory, combinatorial analysis, method of Dijkstra, methods of graph theory, methods of schedule theory, methods of stochastic and combinatorial optimization, methods of mathematical apparatus of genetic algorithms. The results of the study are the technology of control of railcar flows, automated method of calculating the train formation plan, automated method of constructing the operational plan of work of sorting station was obtained. The sphere of application of the obtained results is the branch of control of freight railcar flows in the Ukrainian railways.
