Ph.D. thesis explores distinctive features of stylistics and performance of choral music composed in second half of XX-th – beginning of XXI-st century. Thesis examines concept of choral writing and explores characteristics of modern choral writing. Established features of choral writing are adapted for problems and tasks of performance practice. Systematisation of choral music phenomenons of mentioned period was performed using musicological and performance analyses of works by Luciano Berio, Gyоrgy Ligeti, Svyatoslav Lunyov, Arvo Pаrt, Kalheinz Stokhausen and others; different approaches are offered for pieces' classification, performance techniques and performance difficulties. Special attention is paid to the issues and actual problems of performance of contemporary music. Basic guidelines for conductors, choirmasters, member of chorus, vocalists and teachers of special disciplines are provided.
