Essay

Object - processes of synthesis of thermo-reversible and thermo-irreversible non-isocyanate polyhydroxyurethanes based on furfuryloxypropylcyclocarbonate and its derivatives.Purpose - the synthesis of new non-isocyanate polyhydroxyurethanes based on furfuryloxypropylcyclocarbonate and its derivatives. Methods - IR- NMR (H1) -spectroscopy, differential-scanning calometries. A major monomer used for the synthesis of nonisocyanate polyhydroxy urethanes furfuryloxypropylcyclocarbonate, which is synthesized from carbon dioxide and furfuryl glycidyl ether, the latter being the product of biomass recycling. Furfuryl glycidyl ether carbonization process were studied both under pressure and in atmospheric conditions in the presence of ammonium and phosphonium salts. The optimal synthesis conditions are defined (amount of catalyst, temperature). Depending on the synthesis conditions both thermoreversible polyhydroxy urethanes (due to Diels-Alder - reaction) and thermally irreversible polyhydroxy urethanes (due to the ion radical polymerization in the presence of the complex onium catalyst) have been obtained.
