In the dissertation work the prevalence of progenic forms of bite was studied among 1023 pupils aged from 6 to 17 years. The most characteristic features of each of the forms of progenic bite are determined on the basis of data analysis of 53 lateral telerentgenograms by methods A. M. Schwarz and J. Jarabak. The frequencies of the polymorphic alleles of the genes of connective tissue morphogenesis COL1A1 (rs1800012 (+1245 G > T (S / s)) and FGFR2 (rs2981579, C > T) in persons with progenic forms of bite in the population of Ukraine were studied and the association of alleles and genotypes according to the polymorphisms of the abovementioned genes with the risk of development of progenic forms of bite. The algorithm of differential diagnostics of progenic forms of bite is developed. The possibilities of apparatus treatment of patients with progenic forms of bite and its prognosis are determined.
