Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of the theoretical foundations of strategic management of vertically integrated holdings with the aim of forming methodological provisions for improving the system of strategic management of organizational development in the context of obtaining practical recommendations in the activity of vertically integrated energy sector holdings. In the research, on the basis of generalization of theoretical positions, the concept "organizational development of vertically integrated holdings" is proved, the conceptual model of strategic management of organizational development of vertically integrated holdings is offered. Methodological approaches to the formation of the organizational development strategy have been studied; a system of indicators for assessing the organizational development of vertically integrated energy holdings has been developed. It includes 8 aspects of activities financial, industrial, innovation-technological, marketing, social, institutional, environmental and managerial. It is proved that they are the theoretical basis for making managerial decisions on directions of its development. The key issues in development of the energy sector have been analyzed; they have a direct impact on the activities of business entities. It is proved that structural changes in the organizational profile of vertically integrated holdings should take into account both the direction of organizational development and the influence of the VUCA environment, which will allow improving the system of strategic management of the organizational development of vertically integrated holdings. A methodological approach to the analysis of strategic gaps in vertically integrated holdings based on the BSC modification and the DEMATEL method is proposed to identify and analyze the reasons for achieving / failing the predicted state of organizational development, as well as the reserves for introducing changes. The study proposed a methodological approach to the selection of strategies for the organizational development of vertically integrated holdings. It provides that the analysis of a vertically integrated holding based on its dynamic characteristics and the construction of S-trajectories with the identification of the basic vectors of development is the basis for the formation of strategic initiatives. The particular attention is paid to the priorities of organizational development strategies for vertically integrated energy holdings. It allows to solve problems of effective use of the vertically integrated holding's potential at the appropriate stage of organizational development depending on the direction of integration and to form the optimal strategic set of the energy holding in the VUCA environment. Practical recommendations on increasing the effectiveness of strategic management of the organizational development of vertically integrated energy holdings have been formed.
