The thesis is devoted to the synthesis, structural studies, properties and elucidation of the practical application of heterometallic compounds of copper, cobalt, nickel and calcium with polyoxomolybdates and N-donor ligands. The effect of the synthesis method on the composition of the products obtained was studied. A new method of the direct synthesis technique for obtaining polyoxomolybdates-based compounds is proposed, which consists in the interaction of a metal powder with an N-donor ligand in the presence of precursors of polyoxometalates in an aqueous medium. According to the methods developed, 28 new compounds were obtained, including few types of polyoxometalates, which all were crystallographically characterized for the first time. It is shown that the compounds obtained are active in the reactions of the electrocatalytic reduction of nitrite and iodate(V)-anions, the photocatalytic decomposition of water with the release of O2; they exhibit sorption properties as well as photoconductive and photovoltaic properties in polymer composites.
