The object of research - the process of detecting denial of service network attacks at the application level. Methods - the theory of control of multilevel systems, the theory of sets, the query theory, the theory of graphs. Results - the model for detecting low-intensity attacks such as denial of service attacks to web-server has been developed; the model for analyzing the web-server buffer overflow based on probabilistic time graphs has been developed; the method for detecting and classifying low-intensity attacks on application level such as "denial of service" attacks on web-services has been developed. Introduced - implemented in the educational process of the department of infocommunication engineering KNURE in the course "Methods of collective protection of information", international TEMPUS project ENGENSEC (Educating the Next generation experts in Cyber Security). The field of use is telecommunication networks
