Essay

There is a more pronounced increase of type IV collagen, fibrotic changes in the liver according to elastography, APRI index and indirect markers of fibrosis (AST, GGTP and AST/ALT, GGTP/ALT) in case of the combination of chronic alcoholic pancreatitis and alcoholic cirrhosis compared to patients with isolated pathology. Pathomorphological picture of combined alcoholic pathology is mainly characterized by the same morphological features that are inherent in each isolated disease. However, during a combined defeat of both organs, the level of intraorganic fibrotic changes in tissues are higher. Aciny were deformed, there was metaplasia of exocrine pancreatic cells, which, at the same time, was reduced in height and resembled flat cells of the inserted excretory ducts.
