Essay

In the dissertation the artly-aesthetic dominants of the works of Ukrainian drama of the 1990s has been defined. The study covered works published Ukrainian drama, written during 1991–1999 years by authors of Ukraine and of the diaspora. The text of the thesis represents a systematic review only those works that most clearly represent found the artly-aesthetic dominants. The theoretical and methodological foundations of research have been outlined, signs leading aesthetic paradigms in historical terms have been installed. An overview of the key stages of the drama in the historical dimension to give a possibility to assign such the most important parameters of it’s aesthetics: functionality of drama; conformity with the genre; the relevance of topics; ideological orientation; national character; the degree of compliance or oppose certain existing rules. Among all aesthetic categories the dominants in literary analysis are tragic, comic and dramatic. As special ways a reflection of reality, they form a coherent structure progress of any period of the literary process. These categories are carriers of specific aesthetic emotions which create subordinate contents-formal features based on a system of other aesthetic categories. So these three categories determine the presence of three major dramatic genres. Definitions of key concepts have been formulated. They are «artly-aesthetic dominant of the literary work», «aesthetics of drama», «antiaesthetics of drama». Artly-aesthetic dominant of the literary work – a system leading literary aesthetic categories, which relates to the aesthetic paradigm of era of his writing, which makes it possible to fit a particular work of literature. Aesthetics of drama – a system of aesthetic categories with it’s actual meaningful through which assesses the particular dramatic work, the author’s literary heritage or a specific period. Antiaesthetics of drama – a system of aesthetic categories, which eliminates the traditional humanistic orientation of the dramatic art, creating a new artistic reality, conceptual center of which stands on the artist’s critically-negative attitude to reality. A concept analysis of aesthetic paradigm dramatic works based on cultural-historical and systematic has been approached. A holistic method of analysis artly-aesthetic dominants in the contents-formal unity of drama was created. Set the aesthetic paradigm appears three-piece drama process: definition content in the context of aesthetic categories; clarify their relations system; tracking limits the functioning of these links on the main level and content of the text (title, author genre definitions, list of actors, stage directions, emotional tempo-rhythm, speaking of actors, conflict, themes, issues, pathos). The dramaturgy 1990s in scientific discourse of history of Ukrainian literature has been considered. Substantiation of the necessity of isolating in a specified period generation of the «dev’yatdesyatnyky» («nineties») was done. Samples of works, which most clearly traced the artly-aesthetic dominants in themes, characters, conflicts, emotional tempo-rhythm and author’s genre definitions has been taken and analyzed. It was found aesthetic features of the national postmodern. In Ukrainian drama 1990s parallelism coexistence of two aesthetic evaluations reality: positive (heroic, harmonious, sublime, dramatic) and critically-negative (absurd, ugly, low, variety of comic) observed. This is reflecting the multi-vector local artists attempt to understand the transition of society of the independent Ukraine.
