Essay

The dissertation presents a theoretical generalization and a new solution to a scientific problem, which is based on theoretical, methodological and practical substantiation of improvement of the risk management system of agro-food industry enterprises in order to increase the efficiency of their functioning. The integral concept of developing risk management strategies for agro-food enterprises in the conditions of unstable conditions and competitive structures of target product and resource markets is proposed, which is based on the use of valuation scenarios for the implementation of typified strategies, which are applied depending on the momentum characteristics of the indicated markets, and also are allocated taking into account branch affiliation and level of development of economic potential of enterprises. The directions of increase of efficiency of activity of agrarian enterprises by means of application of insurance tools of risk management are grounded by comparison of probabilities of obtaining of enterprises of the agro-food sector losses or their lack of profits with the level of adequacy of insurance indemnities to the scale of the consequences of risk events. The methodical approach to assessing the economic efficiency of risk management strategies for agro-food enterprises is based on a combination of the scenario method with the main provisions of assessing the economic potential of enterprises and the results of determining the state of market conditions, which enables to improve the quality of management decisions regarding risk management strategies. Recommendations on improvement of the risk management system of the agro-food enterprises for improving the efficiency of their activities are given.
