The author of the dissertation has carried out the comprehensive analysis of peculiarities of the technical and forensic provision of investigating crimes related to the violation of safety rules of transport traffic or operation. On the basis of the analysis of the positions of scholars in the sphere of criminalistics, the current criminal and criminal procedural legislation, the author has defined the notion and content of the technical and forensic provision of pre-trial investigation. The organizational and legal foundations of technical and forensic provision of pre-trial investigation of traffic accidents have been revealed; their relationship has been established.
