Essay

The thesis deals with genre-stylistic aspect of contemporary Ukrainian composer Alexander Yakovchuk's works (b. 1952) which was researched for the first time. The contribution to the Ukrainian chamber music on its broad background existence of the last third of the ХХ-ХХІst centuries was defined. The composer's genre system priorities (sonatas, trios, quartets, "music…", suites, fantasy, capriccio, miniatures) were conceptually examined in the context of early and mature periods of the author's style. All analyzed works were entered to the musicological circulation for the first time.
