Rudiuk A. Development of territorial and municipal heraldry in Ukraine (1991-2016).

In the dissertation the process of formation of coat of arms in Ukraine during the period of independence is researched. The normative and legal basis, which influences the process of creation, approval and use of territorial and municipal coats of arms, is disclosed. The theoretical basis of the research is determined and the terminological and conceptual apparatus of modern heraldic science is analyzed. It was established, that research centers, such as the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Ukrainian Archaeography and Source Studies named after M. S. Grushevskiy, UHT, higher education institutions, local lore clubs and unions, other public and private institutions were actively influenced by heraldry development in Ukraine.
