In the dissertation work the solution of the actual scientific problem of increasing the efficiency of removing dust from the air during mining operations in an explosive way was made. The regularities of the change in the concentration of fine dust on the length of mining work due to the deformation of the dust cloud due to the air flow from the ventilation pipeline and partial dust deposition due to the phenomena of transverse migration of dust particles to the surface of the work and the process of turbulent coagulation of particles. By means of experimental researches it has been established that with the destruction of hard rock by exploding loads, the process of formation of finely divided dust occurs due to the formation of newly formed surfaces on the internal grain defects of the structure of quartz. The method of reducing the concentration of fine dust in the course of excavations by the explosive method is based on the change of surface-active substances of the mechanism of destruction of hard rocks, in which the newly formed surfaces are formed on the contacts of quartz grains with other minerals that form the rock. The results of the work are recommended for use in the develop-ment of measures to reduce the yield of fine fraction of dust in excavations with blasting operations.
