Essay

Thesis is dedicated to the substantiation of theoretical principles and to the development of applied recommendations on formation and development of attraction of the regions based on marketing approach. Theoretical principles of the study of the regional attraction's nature and its types, regional attraction policy and the application of marketing approach in regional science are substantiated. The nature of regional attraction from the standpoint of marketing approach and its interconnection with regional competitiveness are revealed. The conceptual principles of marketing approach to the formation and development of regional attraction are grounded. The types classification of regional attraction is proposed by introducing a new classification indication for "target audiences". Methodical approach is developed, according to which the level of attraction of Ukrainian regions is estimated, which involves the use of multicomponent technique. The technique of expert estimation of regional attraction is developed and tested. The nature of the formation and development of regional attraction is defined and the approach for choosing its policy is developed. The foreign experience of applying marketing approach to the formation and implementation of regional policy of attraction is generalized. Successful practices of the formation and development of regional attraction which are based on the marketing approach are selected; it is reasonable to employ them in Ukraine.
