The paper deals with the study of prosodic means of speech influence in modern scientific English discourse (in videolectures as an example). This research defines modern scientific English discourse as a type of communicative interaction in scientific domain with its peculiar written, oral and paralinguistic forms of realization. Scientific English discourse has tendency to create new communicative genres, especially cybergenres, in our study presented by a videolecture. Videolecture functions through an audiovisual electronic communication channel, in particular on specialized learning platforms of massive open online courses (MOOCs), websites for videostreaming and videochannels (YouTube).
