Sorokivskyi I. Closure of acute post-extraction oroantral communication using modern biomaterials for guided tissue regeneration

The dissertation is dedicated to the development of new methods of closure of acute post-extraction oroantral communication, study of peculiarities of postoperative period and processes of tissue repair in the alveolar ridge after such treatment, as well as the improvement of the transillumination of maxillary sinuses for the verification of the productive changes in them. On the basis of a survey of 41 patients after the plastic surgery of acute post-extraction otroantral communication in the early postoperative period, the advantage of the proposed methods was statistically significantly established based on the difference in pain sensations, postoperative edema, local hyperthermia and the timing of recovery of life quality indicators associated with dental health. Based on the measurements of the depth of the vestibulum oris, the width of the attached gingiva, the height, width and area of the cross section of the alveolar process in 41 patients after surgical closure of oroantral communications in a long-term observation a significantly lower loss of morphological characteristics of soft and hard tissues in the site of surgical intervention was established.
