Essay

The dissertation presents the solution of the scientific and practical task of increasing the effectiveness of orthopedic rehabilitation of adolescents with small inclusions of dental series defects by the method of dental implantation as one of the alternative types of orthopedic treatment. The results of the studies allowed to study the frequency of small included defects in dentition among schoolchildren in the city of Lviv and their need for orthopedic rehabilitation (9-15%). Dynamics of development and formation of dentition is most significant at 8-9 years, and then there is a certain stabilization. The alveolar bone mineral density increases with age in both gender groups and corresponds to type III (D3). The main growth of its data starts at about 10-12 years old, then it has certain features depending on gender. Experimental studies have shown that dental implantation has no significant effect on the size of the mandible in sagital, transversal and vertical planes of growing animals. Clinical, X-ray and morphometric evaluation of the effectiveness of dental implantation showed that the established dental implants were well osteointegrated, pathological mobility and their loss was not detected, while the dynamics of marginal bone reduction medially and distally showed that its loss was greater in the upper jaw than in the lower jaw. Morphometric measurements of dental size in dynamics have shown their identity throughout the monitoring period. This study shows that dental implantation is an acceptable method for replacing missing teeth in adolescence, however, which requires detailed study of the individual characteristics of the dento-alveolar complex of each patient.
