Kishchenko N. Verbalization of the Concept of WISDOM / МУДРІСТЬ in the Discourse of the English Authorial Fairy Tale

This thesis focuses on the content and structure of the concept of WISDOM / МУДРІСТЬ and determination of lexical means of its verbalisation in the discourse ofthe English authorial fairy tale. The paper defines the concept of WISDOM asa multidimensional mental entity structured by the notional as well as figurative and evaluative components. In the discourse of the English authorial fairy tale it acquires the features of literariness. The discourse of the English authorial fairy tale is an environment of constructing fairy imagery, in particular axiologically marked wisdom imagery, actualizing fragments of mythological and literary worldviews. Conceptual metaphors and conceptual metonymies serve as the conceptual basis for the wisdom imagery. These conceptual schemes structure the figurative and evaluative component of the conceptof WISDOM.
