The concept of objects of the forensic auto-mechanical expertise has been formulated; and their main types have been highlighted. The subject matter and tasks of auto-mechanical expertise have been researched. The content of forensic and expert activity in the field of auto-mechanical expertise, which is made up of concrete actions related to the organization and conduction of auto-mechanical expertise have been outlined. Principles of forensic and expert activity in the field of auto-mechanical expertise have been analyzed.
