The thesis suggests a new decision of the acute scientific and applied task of evaluating the functional state of a person in conditions of high visual load. It is obtained by using the proposed models, methods and criteria for determining this state by visual and psychophysiological characteristics, and developed information support for computer determination of asthenopic states and their timely correction. The developed information support for the automated evaluation of the functional state of a person engaged in visual labor is based on the proposed indexes and the method for determining the functional state, the method for determining the degree of the general and visual complaints, and on recommendations for the individualized correction of the current state. This allows shortening the testing time, enables timely detection and correction of changes in a person's functional state, in particular, asthenopic states. The use of information support implemented in the automated decision support system by an ophthalmologist allowed to improve visual functions in (67±8,6)% of people, to reduce the severity of the general complaints in (50±9,1)%, visual complaints - in (53±9,1)%, eye complaints - in (40±8,9)% of persons.
