Essay

The solving of the plane mixed problem of elasticity for the semi-infinite strip under the load of a different nature was reduced to the solving of the singular integral equation with the help of the apparatus of matrix differential calculation and the matrix Green function. The singular integral equation was solved with regard to the fixed singularities of the unknown function. The uncoupled thermoelasticity problem for a semi-strip was solved. The problem for a semi-strip weakened by the transverse crack was reduced to the solving of the system of singular integral equations.
