Melnyk O. State Regulation of Social and Economic Adaptation of Disabled People in Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to the development of theoretical, methodological and applied principles of state regulation of social and economic adaptation of disabled people in Ukraine. The conceptual apparatus on research subject was specified; the essence of the categories ,,state regulation of social and economic adaptation of disabled people’’ and ,,mechanism of state regulation of social and economic adaptation of disabled people’’ was grounded; the correlation between mentioned categories was identified. The system approach was applied to the identification of the essence of state regulation of social and economic adaptation processes of disabled people. The institutional and organizational basis of social adaptation and vocational guidance for disabled people in Ukraine was researched. The world experience of state support of disabled people was systematized. This allowed determining the key directions: stimulating employers; institutional support; introduction of benefits system for disabled workers. The theoretical and applied aspects of the transformation of the education system and vocational rehabilitation of disabled people as a factor of strengthening the human capital of Ukraine are considered. The research allowed both: to formulate the main vectors for improving the mechanism of state regulation of social and economic adaptation of disabled people; and to identify the ways to increase their participation in the system of national production.
