Buhaiov S. Features of formation and growth of alder stands of the Left-bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine

In the dissertation the generalization and analysis of experimental data on black alder stands of left-bank forest-steppe of Ukraine and features of their formation are presented. According to the results of complex studies, typological structure, productivity, growth and commodity structure of alder forests are characterized. Taking into account the revealed patterns of alder stands, the norms of growth and merchantability are proposed. The database of alder forest within the Slobozhansky forest-typological district has been analyzed. The peculiarities of the dynamics of taxation indicators, productivity of alder stands of the region of research are determined. The models of dynamics of taxation indices of alder stands are developed, on the basis of which the tables of the growth course of the coppice alder stands of the Left Bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine for the prevailing site classes are compiled. The maximum absolute sums of cross-sectional areas of alder stands is specified. The features of the taxation structure of alder stands, the dynamics of the commodity structure of the alder stands in the region of the study are determined, and the merchandising tables are constructed. According of the calculations of various types of maturity, the age of the main cuttings in the alder stands of the Left Bank Foreststeppe of Ukraine is determined. For the solution of a number of environmental and production issues that are currently relevant both in the research area and in Ukraine as a whole, it is recommended for practical use: the dynamic bonitet scale for the coppice alder stands of the Left Bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine; the model of the growth of the basic taxation parameters of the coppice alder stands of the Left Bank forest-steppe of Ukraine; tables of growth of modal black alder stands; tables of marketability of alder stands of the Left Bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine; optimal ages of the main cuttings.
