The concept of perception of the musical oeuvre is used in terms of denomination specific regional priorities of a composer’s work, their perception, understanding and interpretation. The perception of the musical oeuvre by the local audience may have the following characteristics: regional activity of a composer or people closely connected with the composer; the composer’s pieces of music being included into regional concerts and educational repertoires; local traditions and the composer’s heritage; scientific researches into the composer’s life and activity; public honouring celebrations – organization of anniversary ceremonies, exhibitions, museums, giving the name of the composer to public institutions, etc.; the impact of the composer’s work on the local culture, including music (both writing and playing), other art forms such as poetry, literature, painting. To define a complex of different perception directions and spheres of creativity in the region, we apply the term of the infrastructure of composer’s work.
