The thesis contains a set of practical and theoretical questions related to the study of the essence, content and principles of legal support of control proceedings in the migration field. In the dissertation the analysis of general-theoretical problems of legal support of control and migration proceedings, definitions «control in the migration sphere», «control and migration proceedings», «administrative proceedings», «migration services», etc. are carried out. The experience of regulatory and legal regulation of control proceedings in the customs sphere in the countries of the European Union has been analyzed. It is established that using the experience of legislative regulation of relations in the field of migration control of the above-mentioned countries will help in further development and improvement of the domestic legal framework, will allow to avoid repeating a number of errors in the field of public management of migration flows. In the process of studying the existing regulatory framework, statistics and practices of implementation of control and migration proceedings by public authorities, it was concluded that there are a number of gaps, conflicts and other shortcomings in the legal regulation of the regime for the implementation of migration control procedures. In this regard, specific measures have been proposed to improve the regulatory framework for monitoring the activities of the competent authorities in the field of migration.
