Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the substantiation of early prevention of caries in temporary teeth in children of preschool age. The mathematical analysis of the results showed that the occurrence and development of caries of temporary teeth in children contributes to breastfeeding that lasted more than 1 year (r =0,96), the use of sweets from 2 years (r =0,97), frequent use of the flour products (r=0,76) and lollipos (r=0,61). The parents' knowledge level about oral care and the low quality of oral hygiene in their children are found to be low. Good and satisfactory oral hygiene was more commonly found in children with low caries intensity ((37,31±2,44) % and (44,28±3,24) %) compared to children with high level caries. Biochemical studies of oral liquid (OL) are analyzed: in children with high intensity the higher concentration of total Ca, lower level of P and Mg, higher activity of acid phosphatase (AF), lower activity of alkaline phosphatase (AF), higher viscosity of saliva (VS), the pH was shifted toward acidosis, and mineralization decreased the potential for saliva compared to children with low caries intensity. At a high level of dental caries intensity detected the lowered level of sIgA, lysozyme content and concentration of lactobacilli compared to children with low intensity of caries in temporary teeth. For the clinical evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed treatment-prophylactic complex (TPC) under supervision were 200 children of 3 years of age, which were divided into 2 groups: the main and control. The effectiveness of the TPC was studied by OL indices before and after 6 months after the introduction of the TPC. Thus, 6 months after the introduction of TPC in all children of the main group, a significant decrease in the activity of AF, an increase in AF activity, a decrease in the total Ca concentration, an increase in the level of P and Mg, a shift of pH to the alkaline side, and viscosity decrease of the OL (p<0,05), at the background of growth of sIgA and lysozyme (р<0,001).
