Essay

The thesis is devoted to increasing the effectiveness of orthodontic treatment of patients with secondary deformities of dentition and abnormalities of the teeth in adolescents and adults by comparing the success of mini-plates and microimplants for additional skeletal anchorage and substantiating their differentiated use. The expediency of preliminary adaptation of mini-plates on individual stereolithographic 3D models of patients' jaws is clinically justified, which reduces the invasiveness of surgical intervention. The ideas on the functioning of microimplants and mini-plates under the influence of various risk factors have been supplemented and expanded, and an analysis of the immediate and remote complications during their installation has been performed. The indications for the use of microimplants and mini-plates for the movement of individual teeth have been specified and a scheme-algorithm has been proposed that provides for sequential stages of examination and treatment of orthodontic patients with dentofacial anomalies and secondary deformities of the dentition, taking into account the possibility of using additional skeletal anchorage.
