The thesis is dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic tonsillitis by identifying the subpopulation composition of lymphocytes in the blood and its correlation with the level of apoptosis and necrosis and dynamics relationship of cytokines. When comparing the results obtained in the study of tonsils homogenate and peripheral blood is characterized by a noticeable decline in subpopulations of CD3 +, CD4 + and CD8 + -lymphocytes both in homogenate and in blood, though there is no significant quantitative differences in these tissues. Multiplicity of decrease in CD3 + and CD4 + -lymphocytes reached 2.5-3 times, the number of CD8 + -lymphocytes also decreased almost 2 times. It was established that low subpopulations of CD3 + and CD4 + -lymphocytes while high levels of apoptosis and its relationship with necrosis in patients with chronic tonsillitis, indicates the severity of the pathological process in the tonsils, and the restore of these levels during the treatment may be one of the criteria for the effectiveness of therapy. Increasing the ratio of IFN-γ / IL-4 is a favorable prognostic sign at conservative treatment of chronic tonsillitis and its reduction indicates the progression of process. The treatment, both surgery and conservative, contributed to the positive dynamics of these indicators approaching them to the control level, and more effective performance improvement was in patients with increased ratio of IFN-γ/IL-4 during the treatment.
