Melnyk O. Adjectival component of reconstruction of the language world view of German fairy-tales of the XIX century

This thesis focuses on the study of a fragment of verbalized world view represented in German folktales and in Romantic author’s tales of the XIX century. The aim of the research is a quantitative-qualitative description of a holistic verbalized system of world view and value system, specific for readers and „users” of folktales (which tends to be commonly national), definition of their peculiar features as well as their correlation with the ideas and value orientations reflected in Romantic author’s tales which representing an individual author’s world view. Based on quantitative and qualitative analysis of the database obtained in a way of overall selection from the texts of folktales and literary tales, the composition and structure of the lexical-semantical field units of „objective adjectives”, „anthropocentric adjectives” and „determinative adjectives” were studied. The statistic parameters of usage of lexical-semantical groups (LSGs) of adjectives in different samplings have been distinguished, the comparison of syntagmatic ties in different text types has been done, the factors which influence the frequency and combinability of adjectives have been determined.
