Turban V. Social-psychological peculiarities of a person’s self-restraint in the conditions of a professional crisis

The research object: personal crises at professional work; the purpose: to substantiate theoretically and perform an empirical research on social-psychological peculiarities of a person’s self-restraint in the conditions of a professional crisis; the methods: theoretical (analysis, synthesis, comparison of modern scientific and empirical researches on social-psychological features of a person’s self-restraint in the conditions of a professional crisis, as well as their generalization, classification and systematization), empirical (observation, general interviews, non-standardized interviews, questionnaires, testing), methods of mathematical data processing (with their further qualitative interpretation and meaningful generalization); the research novelty: social-psychological peculiarities of a person’s self-restraint in the conditions of a professional crisis have been revealed in accordance with crisis typology and self-restraint dichotomous (negative, positive) manifestations in professional work; the ways of realization and regulation of the self-restraint mechanism in the conditions of a professional crisis have been determined; the relationship between a person’s self-restraint manifestations with a psychological age and chrono decentralizations in the conditions of a professional crisis have been disclosed; the research results: the research determines leading types of professional personal crises and their social-psychological specificity as for self-restraint; reveals social-psychological peculiarities of self-restraint manifestations and their connection with psychological age and chrono decentralizations in the conditions of a professional crisis; develops and tests a set of social and psychological measures aimed at optimization of self-restraint practices and crisis overcoming at professional work; the branch: psychology.
