Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of cognitive and communicative features of German folk songs (GFS) and means of their verbal representation. In communication GFS texts are an integral part of the human being inner world, embodied in folklore discourse. The initial stage of comprehension of the claimed object was the study of the theoretical prerequisites of describing the song communication and development of an appropriate methodology of GFS texts studying, based on the cognitive-discursive linguistic paradigm and presupposing the study of language and speech in the duality of cognitive-semantic and communicative-functional principles. The syntactic organization of GFS texts is considered. The specific feature of GFS texts is the combination of simple, compound and complex sentences, which creates a certain narrative dynamics, contributes to the expansion of the informative content of the text, allows the text material to be harmoniously combined with the melody and also makes GFS texts more vivid and imaginative. The stylistic arrangement is characterized by the variety of stylistic devices, techniques and figures, conditioned by the folklore tradition. All of them are presented by two types of speech expressiveness – lexical- and phono-stylistic. They help to create unique expression and strengthen aesthetic influence, and a special imagery arises.
