Veselovsky L. Mortality of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, its structure causes and organizational measures to reduce

Research object: mortality of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (TB); aim – to define a structure and causes of patients with pulmonary TB mortality in Ukraine in the conditions of epidemic and to work out the organizational measures for its reduction; research methods: statistical (parametric and non-parametric methods of variation statistics – Student-Fisher’s test, Wilcoxon–Mann–Whithey’s U-test, Pearson’s chi-squared test, multinomial model, Spirman’s rank correlation coefficient; novelty: the principal tendencies of TB epidemiologycal situation in Ukraine and in Armed forces of Ukraine for 1985–2016 years have been determined, that for the first time have been classified on three periods and two stages; have been obtained additional data in the mortality structure of patient with pulmonary TB in the period of epidemic (1985–2016 years), that is characterized by an increase in 1,8 times of indexes of mortality due to miliary, fibrous-cavernous, disseminated TB, HIV/AISD-related, chemoresistant TB, caseous pneumonia, and also due to the persons of more young age, by an increase in 1,3 times among the dead specific gravity of persons with bacteriosecretion, by displacement of mortality high indexes from western and east regions on south-east; absence of TB mortality among servicemen was established; have been determined the complex of medical and socio-economic reasons increasing of patient with pulmonary TB mortality in the conditions of epidemic; measures for reduction of patient with pulmonary TB mortality have been research substantiated, that in the rank significance is consist in realization of medical and socio-economic measures; for the first time on the basis of medico-economic analysis have been substantiated the expediency of the organizational measures that twice diminish a mortality from TB of able-bodied age.
