In the dissertation study the features of functioning of the mechanism of ensuring the social protection of a person in the conditions of a military conflict in Ukraine are considered. The normative principles, tendencies and problems of law enforcement in the investigated sphere are analyzed in detail. The study and analysis of doctrinal studies on the problems of the legal mechanism of social protection of a person in the conditions of military conflicts has been carried out. Formulated definitions of social protection, social and legal protection, social and legal protection of man in conditions of military conflicts. The forms of social and legal protection of persons in the conditions of a military conflict are determined and allocated. The concept of the mechanism of legal protection of the right to social protection of a person in the conditions of armed conflict as a complex system of legally established legal means used by state authorities and local self-government bodies to ensure the social rights of ATO participants, forced migrants and those who are in temporarily occupied territories is disclosed. the members of their families, assistance in the implementation and restoration of these rights, as well as social and legal measures taken to guarantee the rights of these persons. In general, the dissertation solves the scientific task of developing theoretical foundations, legal and practical recommendations aimed at improving the provision of the right to social protection of a person in a situation of military conflict in Ukraine, and formulates conclusions, suggestions and recommendations that meet the requirements of scientific novelty.
