Object: the process of using economic approaches to monitoring and diagnostics of the enterprise. Goal: development of theoretical and methodological provisions and practical recommendations for the formation of approaches to monitoring and diagnostics of enterprise activity. Research methods: method of system analysis and synthesis, method of systematization of scientific experience and terminological analysis, statistical method of data processing, grouping method, method of comparison, method of system analysis, coefficient method, rating method. Improved: scientific and methodical approach to the diagnostics of the enterprise, which consists of three stages and takes into account the assessment of the impact of internal and external factors and risks for the enterprise; a methodical approach to the diagnosis of enterprise inclination to bankruptcy, which involves choosing a system of indicators for rapid analysis, calculation of group indicators and the use of fuzzy sets of tools in the process of assessing the effectiveness of activities; a methodical approach to maximizing the integral indicator, which in the process of diagnosis and monitoring takes into account the structure and sources of financing activities; information-analytical system of diagnostics and monitoring of activity of the enterprises of the machine-building industry, which includes a block of development of anti-crisis measures for substantiation of managerial decisions at the expense of optimization of the structure of economic ties; got further development: the conceptual-categorical apparatus of the theory of management, which consists in refining the essence of the concept of "diagnosis"; modern interpretation of the essence of the concept of "monitoring enterprise activity". Scope of application: engineering enterprises.
