Liutikov O. Clinical and experimental substantiation of choice among the restorative materials for primary molars

The thesis is devoted to substantiation of choice among the restorative materials for fillings in primary molars during caries treatment or after endodontic treatment by clinical and experimental evaluation. The number of morphological differences of the hybrid layer produced by different adhesive systems on caries-affected and sound dentin of primary teeth were evaluated. Experimentally justified the necessity of dentin etching time shortening to 7 s during restoration on caries-affected dentin. The differences of sealing properties of restorative materials were demonstrated. The clinical success of different restorative materials during the restoration of primary molars after treatment of dentin caries and after endodontic treatment was evaluated. The factors and their significance in the development of complications after the restoration of primary molars were determined. The algorithm of the choice of restorative materials and protocols for the treatment of primary molars for 4-8 years old children has been developed and scientifically substantiated.
